Frame shape has a shallow, continuous bend to improve flotation and reduce packing/storage space; tapered tails help optimize stride efficiency and stability. Lightweight thermoplastic urethane decking provides excellent puncture resistance to ensure lasting use. ActiveFit™ bindings provide a padded, supportive fit that surrounds foot for enhanced stability, comfort and control; webbing cinch straps are easy to use. Pivot system under instep delivers lateral flex and side slope responsiveness to help feet stay in a natural position; system also limits overrotation for sure-footed descents. Full step rotation maximizes crampon penetration, and the tail drops to shed snow, minimizing fatigue and discomfort. Carbon steel crampons underfoot bite deeply from heel strike through toe thrust; sharp climbing, traversing and braking teeth ensure stability on ice and hardpack. Heel lifts reduce calf fatigue and make extended climbs easier and more efficient; lifts lay flat when not in use.
