Canon 12 x 36 IS II Binoculars
Strengths: Image Stabilizer, compact, light-weight, sharp and bright views.
Weakness: Expensive. Caps for front lenses not provided.
The Canon 12 x 36 IS II Binoculars is an impressive product but it is quite expensive. Its build is solid and the optical performance is very good in day light. Of course the Image Stabilizer is an excellent feature. I would rate it 5 star if the price is just half and the caps for front lenses are provided.

My parents were very pleased with these.
Strengths: Great feel, weight, and performance.
Weakness: Maybe a bit pricey.
I bought these for my parents' 70th birthdays and they really enjoy them - they were upgrading from a 7x35 pair from Bushnell. Image quality is excellent, image stabilization is a great help, and the size/feel is very comfortable. Both my parents wear eyeglasses and one is recovering from eye surgery, yet they both found these to be wonderful. I'm sure they will enjoy watching wildlife in the...

Great Binocs!
To compensate for the lack of objective caps, I installed a pair of flip-up rifle scope caps. They just press-fit on and it eliminates the chance of losing them.
